Introduction

Veere is an activewear storefront designed for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Inspired by brands such as Soar Running and Pas Normal Studios, Veere integrates a minimalist design that frames content around extensive white space while its intuitive navigation allows users to quickly find the gear they need.

The end result is a shopping experience that conveys the tangible feeling of the open outdoors directly to the user, all while maintaining a modern and sporty aesthetic.

Design & Art Direction

Veere's sporty design focuses on placing its content around ample white space to create a dynamic and open user experience. Distinct elements, like compact buttons and monospace text, are also used to enhance the brand's unique identity.

To establish a unified art direction, I curated various motion-blur images from photographers associated with brands like The North Face and On Running that convey the essence of energy, movement, and exploration.

The whitespace that surrounds the content of each page gives off the illusion of dual planes within the digital landscape. This design choice aims to seamlessly blend the digital realm with the natural world, inviting users to experience the refreshing and uncluttered feel of an outdoor environment while navigating through the website.

Web Development

Veere incorporates subtle yet impactful development features meant to provide a more engaging user experience. GSAP is used to control all JavaScript animations which facilitate smooth menu, filter, and product interactions.

On a technical side, the website is divided into two parts: the storefront, obtaining its collection and product data from Shopify, and the content management system, controlled by Sanity, which controls page layouts and settings.
